Anita Baker is a self-taught watercolor artist who has also enjoyed workshops with award-winning artists such as Graham Berry, Soon Warren, Susan Stuller, and Carrie Waller.

Anita has received numerous awards for her paintings and has been commissioned to create portraits for clients throughout the United States. Her painting style can best be described as enhanced realism. Using saturated colors and paying special attention to the interplay of light and shadow, she brings her subjects vividly to life.

 

She is a Signature Member of the Virginia Watercolor Society and an active member of the South Carolina Watercolor Society, Southern Watercolor Society, Baltimore Watercolor Society, and Women in Watercolor.
