JLyn Henderson is originally from California, and now resides in Deltaville, Virginia. Prior to moving to Deltaville, JLyn lived in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she worked as an interior designer in her own company. Her design projects were both residential and commercial. As a designer, she was recognized with several design awards.

 

Her sources of inspiration today are as diverse as her artwork. JLyn painted as a form of self-expression throughout her childhood. She has a love of painting faces with expressions, faces that show hidden thoughts behind their eyes. On occasion, she will take the wonderment into another piece of art, art that will always have a story to tell. She has an innate ability to create compassionate, hope, humor, and fear, then expresses these emotions in her art.

 

JLyn had the opportunity while living in California to attend several retreats under the direction of Edward Runci, (Ed) and Maxine Runci.  This was an experience that she treasures to this day. Runci’s were masters artists at their very best. JLyn often wonders if Ed would shake his head or be proud. My love of Ed Runci’s art will always be his pinup girls. So today I have taken that inspiration and created my strong women girlfriends.
