John was born in Washington D.C in 1971. He lives and works on the Northern Neck. He is primarily a metal sculptor but have experimented with collage, assemblage, clay, plaster, painting, photography, structural rigging, concrete and printmaking from the pavements of Richmond, Pittsburgh, Mexico City, the rain forests of Costa Rica and verdant Virginia.

He appreciates the silence as the creative wellspring and am inspired by social and environmental justice.
